Mom Accused of Selling Drugs with Children in Car

June 5th, 2008 · No Comments

A California mother recently pled not guilty to three felony counts of selling heroin, one count of possession of heroin for sale, and one dozen misdemeanor charges of child endangerment.  Enedina Rodriguez Cardona, a mother of eight, was seen by a drug dealing investigation to be selling heroin while her youngest children were in the car.  Cardona faces a maximum sentence of 14 years and eight months in prison if convicted on all counts.

Police officers witnessed Cardona dealing heroin while taking her kids to school and while driving around town performing errands.  In several police videos, the children talk to the addicts.  After police obtained a search warrant, they found close to $10,000 in Cardona’s home and about $40 of black tar heroin hidden in a baby shoe.
